I visited the actual shoreline of Rainbow Haven Beach in Nova Scotia, where land, sea and sky slide into one another. I let that moment guide the painting — the long sweep of sand, the subtle shift of waves, the distant blur where water meets air. It became less a landscape and more a place of being: standing there, breathing in the salt, and waiting for the next wave.
