The land feels both open and off-limits — a place that draws you in but keeps its distance. I painted this after coming across a “No Trespassing” sign half-hidden in the brush, thinking about how we separate ourselves from what we belong to. The trees stand as witnesses, rooted beyond the boundaries we’ve made.
