I instinctively stopped at the edge of Cape Split and let the cliffs tell me their story. The light shifted behind me and the land cast a long shadow over the tide below—a marker of time, change, and that moment of waiting. In this piece I followed that dark line, the silhouette of land touching sea, and held that meeting in paint.
