I painted this piece on the edge of what once stood firm — the trees that carried our air, our shade, our life. But here they’re shifting, fading, shaped by our neglect more than by nature’s patience. In the brushwork I let trunks wobble, branches thin, the ground beneath unsettled. It’s not simply a landscape — it’s a quiet witness to what happens when we forget who gives us everything.
